I’ll say again, “Balayage is beautiful for first time color.” The general rule is almost anything we put at your root needs to be touched up 4 weeks from that service. This is because your hair grows a half inch a month so that’s that first time you see a line or difference (root shadows being the exception to the rule.) This is true of base color, highlights, bleach and tones and pretty much anything else. But balayage is special. It is diffused starting on day one. so after 4 weeks, it’s just a half inch further away from where it started. It could start at your ears or your shoulders, that’s a personal preference. But as my coworker Madison says, it’s a technique, not a look. So try it. Blondy in the photo did.
